About Me
Thanks for taking the time to visit the Brandt Ryder Photography website. From an early age my fondest memories are of time spent discovering the natural world. The goal of my photography is to capture the earth's landscapes in its most natural, raw, "elemental" form. My hope, is that these images give you a pixel by pixel view of the earth's beauty and diversity as viewed through my lens of life.
Each of my galleries represent one of my passions. Landscapes are the foundation upon which life is built and the night sky provides scale for our place in this vast cosmos.
My name is Brandt Ryder. I'm first and foremost a husband to my wife and father to my daughter and two German Shepherds. By day, I am a Conservation Biologist. By night and weekend, I enjoy chasing light all over the inter-mountain west.
The vast majority of my photos were taken on Sony mounts (either A7iv or A7iiii). Lenses I use include the Sony 16-35mm f/2.8 GM, 24mm f/1.4 GM, 14mm f/1.8 GM, 100-400 f/5.6 GM and 55mm f/1.8. All photographs on the site were taken by me and are copyrighted under my name (Brandt Ryder). If you are interested in using any of my images please get in touch about prints or digital use.
